lyrics

Music Man

A red car whose flames shades to grey
four bags, a bunch of regrets
a piano, a drum and a guitar
and the baton is passed to the kids

and don't you find it's fine?
don't you see that's more than what you fight for?
or is it not?

the music man is sweeping the floor
mumbling a song to forget
the music man now is closing the door

Then years go by rush after rush
it is always that matter of time
big plans get trapped in the eyes
and in the strains of a self-painted crown

and don't you find it's alright?
don't you see that's all you could have died for ...
and all you've been through?

the music man is waving goodbye
quickly he's packing the car
the music man now is driving back home
and he still sings ... na na na na na ...

So here is the story you will miss
here comes the man you turned down
with everything you broke apart
and now I give it back to you fixed
and whole
